FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kids Who Care Returns to Grapevine’s Palace Theatre January 16

Resident Company to Present Three Performances of Original Texas Musical Deep in the Heart

FORT WORTH, TX—December  29, 2008 - Kids Who Care, a non-profit international musical theatre company based in Fort Worth, announced today that its original Texas musical, Deep in the Heart, will return to Grapevine’s Palace Theatre on January 16, 2009 for three performances.  Kids Who Care’s Resident Company performed to sold out crowds at Palace Theatre last year.

Deep in the Heart is an original musical production that celebrates our Lone Star state and its multi-cultural history. Legend, fact, truth and tall tale come to life as five children lost in their history books discover Texas and what it means to be a Texan (whether native-born or the got-here-as-quick-as-they-could variety). It’s a show for the whole family, filled with singing, dancing and the big spirit of Texas.

Deep in the Heart has always been an audience favorite,” said Deborah Jung, founder and executive director of Kids Who Care.  “We are thrilled that the folks at Palace Theatre asked us back to bring the rich history of Texas to life.”

The Kids Who Care Resident Company is an audition company of children ranging in age from six to 18. The Resident Company performs locally, nationally and internationally each year, September through May.  Past performance venues include Off-Broadway at the Lamb’s Theatre, both Disney’s, The Kennedy Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, at 30,000 feet aboard an airplane for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and at many other locations across the United States and overseas.

Performance times for Deep in the Heart at the Palace Theatre on January 16 are 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  The Palace Theatre is located at 300 Main Street in Grapevine, Texas. Tickets are priced from $5 - $15.  Call for special pricing for large school groups. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.GrapevineTexasUSA.com  or call 817.410.3585.
