While many families are having to reduce the budget allotted for family vacations this year, or just remove the planned vacation from the budget altogether, Theatre Arlington wants everyone to know about the fun, yet inexpensive, vacation awaiting them on Main Street, in Arlington, TX.
Theatre Arlington’s newest production, ARE WE THERE YET?, which opened March 27, takes audience members on a roller-coaster ride of emotions as it explores the trials and tribulations of family life. Everyone will find something with which to relate as they visit the world of child-birth, senior prom, empty nests, aging parents and all of the potholes one encounters on this wonderfully bumpy road of life. There’s even a song titled, Cha-Ching, which pays homage to all of the visits parents make to stores such as Wal-Mart and Target. If any of these moments sound familiar, then this show is a must-see. A critic from The Daily Pantagraph, in Bloomington, IL, described ARE WE THERE YET? as, ‘Therapy, set to music…this delightful journey highlights what it really means to be a family… it’s a ride worth taking.”
With ticket prices ranging from $18 - $20, and great discounts for groups of ten or more, this is truly a trip the entire family can afford to take together.
ARE WE THERE YET? runs March 27 – April 26 with performances on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. It is recommended for ages 10 and up only. So, gather your children, parents, siblings and anyone who can relate to life as a family and bring them all to Theatre Arlington for a family trip like no other.
